Dear Parents,

Hebrew School of the Arts is excited to be offering in person sessions each Sunday.
The safety and wellbeing of our students is our number one priority. In accordance with CDC
guidelines and local health authorities, together with guidance from medical experts with
whom we have consulted, we are implementing health  & safety protocols to help mitigate the risk of COVID-19 spread and exposure.
We are committing to reassess the COVID-19 situation in our area periodically and we will make changes accordingly.
The protocols are as follows:
 Weather permitting, all classes will take place outdoors in the spacious and covered CRE terrace.
 In the event of inclement weather, classes will move indoors, with 6 ft. physical distancing between students.
 There will be no more than 6 students per class
 Students will remain with their class during the Hebrew School day and will not mix with other classes at any time during the day.
 Temperature checks will be taken at drop off, before the child gets out of the car. Any student with an elevated temperature will be sent home.
 There will be NO adults allowed in the building at any time during Hebrew School other than our teachers and staff. All parents can email /text/call with any questions or concerns, as necessary.
 There will be hand sanitizing stations around the building that will be used throughout the
day, including the beginning of the day as students enter the building.
 All teachers and staff will be required to wear masks inside the building.
 All students will be required to wear masks inside the building.
 Food items will be individually packaged and will not be handled by our staff.
 Supplies will be predesignated for each student on a weekly basis to minimize sharing items.
Sick Policy:
 Please check your child’s temperature at home prior to coming to Hebrew School if they may be ill.
 Keep your child home if they are showing any signs or symptoms of illness.
 Children must be symptom free (without the aid of a fever reducing medication) for 72 hours.
 If you, your spouse or other members of your family have a temperature or are sick, we respectfully request that you keep your child/ren home.
 The success of in person Hebrew School depends upon all families openly and honestly
communicating whether anyone in their home has tested positive or even has any related symptoms.
With everyone following all the necessary proactive precautions, we are confident that your
child(ren) can be provided with an amazing, educational and exciting semester at Hebrew
School of the Arts.
In the event that in person Hebrew School has to shut down, we will immediately pivot to a
robust, virtual program with live teachers and classes. All necessary supplies for lessons will be provided.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
